editorial #5
This editorial talks about the WWII generation being the most racist generation ever. Actor Tom Hanks when talking about his new movie that is coming out that has to do with the war in the Pacific. Hanks says that the war was really a battle of human diversity. "Racial sentiments no doubt played a role" (Tom Hanks). He also goes on to say that putting the Japanese in those camps during the war wasnt because we were scared of them it was because we were racist.
I dont think all this is completely true, maybe a little yes some people are probably racist, but the whole generation isnt completely racist against all others.

editorial #4
This editorial is about congress finding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt, last year during Holder's confirmation process Holder withheld important legal brief from the committee and along with a bunch of other times when he didnt tell congress information. The breif that he withheld from Congress had to do with a Supreme Court case that was still being talked about. He didnt tell Congress about his invovlment in the case. Now Holder is being held accountable for all his actions.

Editorial #3
This editorial is about how now in Afghanistan troops are being told to hold their fire when in populated parts of cities and towns. This has been put into place to stop civilians from being killed by defleted bullets. Troops cannot fire on suspected Taliban fighters unless they are visible, armed and posing a threat. Buildings suspected of containing Taliban cannot be targeted unless it is known that there are no civilians in the building. They dont want anymore civilians deaths from this war.
I think this is a little dumb, how are the troops supposed to fight back when they are being shot at. Just becasue they cant see the Taliban they need to be able to fire back.

Editorial #2
This editorial is about the Food and Drug Administration, wanting the hot dog companies to change the shape of hot dogs so it wont be a choking hazard for little kids. Personally i think this is rediculous, if you think your kid is going to choke on it either don't give it to them or cut it up. The hot dog is the shape it is so it can be eaten on the go.

Editorial #1
This editorial is about VA repealing there law that prohibits law-abiding citizens from buying more than one gun per month. This law was put in place to lower crime rates that involved guns. No research was done that proved that this law actually lowered the crime rates. I agree with VA to repeal this law, law- abiding citizens should be allowed to purchase more than one gun a month.

Personal Blog
For my personal blog I picked the recent earthquake in Haiti. Many countries around the world have entered Haiti to help sort through the mess that this earthquake caused. The death counts look to be huge throughout this poor country. Foundations have now been put into place to help with all the ophans that the earthquake caused. It looks like it will be awhile until Haiti is even back to where they were before this disaster.

Obama Administration
I think Obama is taking steps towards getting us out of the problems we are having. The health care bill is being discused in Congress still, and he is trying to make more thing to help get us out of the red. We still don't know about what is going to happen with all the troops over seas. We need the questions like when will they be coming home answered. The nation would like to see Obama get around to answering these questions soon so we can begin to move on.
