The issue that i read about on washingtonpost.com was about the problems with Virginia public transportation. In this article they say that Virginia has not rasied taxes for public transportation since Ronald Regean was the President in office. Which makes us have one of the nations lowest gas taxes and one of the most deteriorationg road system. It has been said that in the next Govenors race that the Democratic representative will not raise taxes but Republican rep. Deeds said he would sign a bill to increase taxes in this issue. It also says that currently because of the recession that most Virginians do not want to raise taxes because that would involve them spending more money.

I agree with the point being made. It is interesting and also very dissapointing to read that Virginia has one of the nations lowest gas taxes and one of the most deteriorating road system. I wonder what will happen in the near future if the roads are not improved and the way of transportation isn't advanced.
